In the summer of 1986, something falls from the sky.
In the small town of Ashbrook, six friends spend their days like any other kids, watching movies at the Orion, playing soccer, riding bikes, and dreaming about a world beyond their town.
Then a strange light crosses the night sky.
The military seals off the mountain. Two of the friends disappear. Danny discovers that whatever came from above is connected to something hidden deep beneath the town, something that feeds on light, memory, pain, and grief.
As Danny, Barbara, Jack, Marty, Petey, and Simon are drawn deeper into the mystery, they uncover a secret buried for decades and a force far beyond anything they understand.
But the greatest danger may not be what the light can destroy.
It may be what it can take away.
Shadow of Light is a science fiction mystery about friendship, growing up, loss, and the price of holding on to what makes us human.
