Very enjoyable, entertaining AND thought provoking!

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were well-rounded and I was cheering on the good guys. The story line took me places near where I live but never really pictured things like this going on in the towns and cities nearby. I know this is fiction, but it sure is close to what really goes on in government and politics, as we all can see from the news. The author did a superb job of painting the scenes and drawing me deeper and deeper into the action. One of those rare books where you just don't get anything else done until you get to the end! I'm anxiously waiting for another good read from Samuel Jay. I hope he's hot on the trail of another story as I write this.

GREAT FIRST NOVEL, I HOPE FOR MORE FROM MR JAY!

I read this book in two days, I couldn't put it down. This book has it all - suspense, well-developed characters you really care about, and some great laughs. Chip Keller, a successful PR exec, makes a mistake one night, and his choice inadvertently causes the death of his wife and destroys his family. Chip tries to pull himself up from his despair and reclaim his family who blames him for his wife's death. Along the way we meet a go-go dancer with problems of her own, shady politicians, a vengeful murderer, and host of other interesting characters. If you are from NJ, don't miss this one! From Essex County politics to old money in Princeton, the novel criss-crosses the state and nails Jersey's diverse characters.
