The strange door of light has closed and he cannot get back, but luckily a fearsome teenage girl with a leather jacket and baseball hat and hunting knife helps him fight off the creature.

She tells him her world is riddled with such monsters and mankind has to live in strongholds to stay safe. She is going back to hers tomorrow, maybe someone there may be able to help him get back to his world...

But the daemons are closing in on what is left of mankind, ready to extinguish them from the world forever, and Tom has found himself at the very centre of this war...
