FIRST I PURCHASED RUG HOOKERS GARDEN BOOK AND I WAS DISAPOINTED BECAUSE IT WAS WITH NO PATTENS IT ONLY TEACHES THE TECNIQUE WITH OUT HOW TO PRACTICE THEN I ORDERED SHADING FLOWERS BOOK IT WAS REALY A COMPLETE GUIDE FOR HOW TO MAKE A FLOWER SHADING BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT BOOK ONLY FOR INTERMEDIATE AND EXPERTS NOT FOR BEGINNERS.

This book not only gives details in shading for 45 different flowers, it also delves into the basics of hooking and the how-to's of several dye methods. The author lists over a dozen formulas with a transitional formula for each one, which is very interesting. On the whole, I found this book very helpful and full of good information.
