Sexual Harassment in the Worklplace

The essential demerit of the phenomenon called 'sexual harassment' refers to the offense to human dignity in its specific expression of that of sexual freedom. The variables of place and time, within a behavior, is perceived as sexual harassment, as well as the identity (social and individual) of the people involved in it, indicate those criteria, which determine the relative tolerance of each society.This contribution attempts to define the concept of sexual harassment in the workplace, as a separate aspect of moral human relations, using data based on biology, psychology, sociology, law and ethical philosophy. Within the national (Greek), European and international legal framework, and the relevant criminal comparative analysis, this contribution focuses on the phenomenon of sexual harassment as an aim to record its emergence and its real social dimension
