This paper deals with the commitment of primary school teachers to sex education and examines the extent to which teachers differ in their approach to teaching sex education in primary schools. The aim is to find out how teachers deal with the topic of sex education in the classroom and which curriculum content is prepared and implemented in what way for teaching purposes. This requires first clarifying some terms and explaining the historical background of this topic. Subsequently, the changes in sex education, parental involvement and the topics covered are discussed. Differences and similarities are analysed using qualitative content analysis. Finally, eleven interviews were interpreted, analysed and evaluated using qualitative content analysis.
