Sevyn knows exactly what colony she wants to be placed in at the end of camp: Her brother, Atlas, is being sent to a new planet, and she would do anything to be reunited with him.
It seems easy enough until the campers are told that only five of them will be selected to go to the new planet. That means Sevyn will have to stand out from the crowd and be the very best.

As the campers face new tests and challenges, their plans quickly begin to unravel. The twins' differences start to show more than ever, proving that their skills might not land them on the same planet.
Sevyn's loyalty to her friends compromises her goal when she chooses to help them at her own expense. Her rival, Ember, takes every opportunity to show off and put herself in the spotlight.
Sevyn's efforts to be placed on the new planet are thwarted at every turn, leading her to the most important choice of her life: doing the right thing, or betraying her friends in hopes of being one of the chosen five.
