Cute Book, Happy Ending for Children

I read this book and really enjoyed it when I was younger. It is true that at one point the father tells the young duck that he has to leave because he can't measure up but isn't real life sometimes harsh and difficult? And then, the book ends happily in a very cute and original way. A book I enjoyed when I was younger and I think that other young children would as well.
