Seven Apples: A Story About There Always Being Another Way

By: Wilder, B. Rose

There is nothing wrong with Ollie's town.

That is the trouble. Nobody is sad, exactly. The baker has stopped humming. The swing has stopped swinging. Mrs. Pike's fiddle hangs on the wall and stays there.

So when Ollie walks further than he means to and finds a tree older than the hills - a tree that listens, and then gives him seven red apples that help a person remember something good they have forgotten - he thinks he has solved it.

Until he starts counting the people who need one.

A gentle, hand-illustrated picture book about small kindness, hard choices, and what happens when there isn't enough to go around. Because there is almost always another way.

A warm, adventurous picture book about a boy, a wise old tree, and the good that can come from a single act of generosity - for readers ready for a slightly longer story and a hero who goes out into the world.
