Poems have always stalked me. Since I was a girl. I have found them in between ocean waves, inside dreaming and waking, beneath stones, above clouds, in compost beds, arroyos, black river foam, gnarled oak trees, acorn seeds, foreign streets, the color red, fairytales, maps, boundaries, edges and tide pools. Poems speak from the belly, pelvis, sky, bones, blood, longing, hunger, wolves and beasts. Sometimes they are subtle, quiet and slippery. Most often they rumble and burn consistently true.This collection of poetry has been gathered during the last 7 years. May these poems run wild and free.
