Perfect Book for Little Hands

It is often difficult to find a book even babies will attend to, however this Sesame Street thick cardboard paged book is a real winner. The book is closed by Elmo's soft velcroed arms attached within the book. It's bold colors will attract a young child's attention immediately. Written in rhyme even the youngest toddler will squeal with delight. Although the arms are a little short for all the movement asked for in the book, it would be a problem fastening the book closed if they were longer.

Super Cute, Fun & Interactive Elmo Book For Kids Of All Ages!

I have MANY Elmo books in our children's library and have never been disappointed in any of them. Most Elmo books that I own are geared toward pre-schoolers so when I received "Elmo Loves Hugs" I was expecting a cute book for toddler aged children. However, I was pleasantly surprised when even my 6 year old granddaughter loved this book! This book features Elmo giving hugs, putting his arm around and "high fiving" other puppets that are featured in this adorable book for children. Highly recommended and "Happy Reading"!

Great book for little kids!

This book arrived today and I read it to my 3 year old son. He loves Elmo, and he loved the book. This book is great for kids ages birth to 3-4 years old. There are arms that fold in front of the book and close with Velcro that simulate Elmo's arms, which is perfect since this book is about giving hugs. Thick board book style construction makes it nearly indestructible for any active young child. The plush velvety arms are incorporated into the story, which is a great way to interact with your child as you read the book to them. They will feel like a participant in the book and story time versus just listening to you read it to them.

Great book for kids

Not a long or overtly complex book, and my two year old LOVES that he can hold Elmo's hands. Very innovative and fun product. If you kid, like mine, LOVES Elmo, well, of course he/she will love this book. Durable, well make, bright colors. A+

Terrific Toddler Gift! Interactive Book & Toy Wrapped in One

Toddlers love Elmo, and this would make a great gift. Elmo has stuffed arms attached to the sturdy cardboard that forms the pages of the book, and each page has a little instruction for the child to follow: help Elmo wave goodbye to Mommy; give Elmo a high-five, etc. This makes the reading experience interactive---a terrific way to keep kids' attention and get them hooked on books. The book manages to squeeze in the concepts of teamwork and being a good friend, and includes other characters that Sesame St. fans will recognize and can name. (Another way to make the book interactive is to ask, "Can you point to Abby? Where's Barkley?" etc.). It comes with an attached gift tag with hearts on it; you just fill out the To and From (or take it off if it's a gift to yourself). The hands have Velcro on them to keep them shut between readings. I'll be buying more for future gifts; it will be good to have on hand for last-minute party invites. Happy reading!
