Great start to a series

Wow, this book was so much better than I expected. I really connected with the characters and enjoyed the love triangle, the found family, and the politics. I feel like the author insulted the readers' intelligence somewhat by over explaining things, but that didn't take away from the reading experience too much; mostly it just made me think the FMC was a moron. I can't wait to continue the series 😁
