Scot's solemn promise goes viral. Average Americans suffering the loss of loved ones to opioid addiction begin to look to Scot as their leader. Someone murders a rich pharmaceutical exec. More obscenely rich execs die. Lots more. Scot won't take his solemn promise website down. Powerful people get angry, then scared. Scot doesn't care.

In today's world, is there a good way this can end for Scot? For the rest of America?

Serpent Point, where the story ends, is a real-world, dangerous cliff in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado. Serpent Point is named for its serpent like features on the 3,000 foot cliff. It should have been named for the pharmaceutical CEO who tried to hide there.
