Charles Haddon Spurgeon, (1834-1892), started preaching at the age of 15. He married Susannah Thompson in 1856, and their twin sons, Thomas and Charles, were born on September 20, 1857. He was a Reformed Baptist, and defended the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. He is still lovingly known as "The Prince of Preachers."CONTENTSSAVED IN HOPE/HOPING IN GOD'S MERCY/THE HOPE THAT PURIFIES/THE HOPE LAID UP IN HEAVEN/A DOOR OF HOPE/MEMORY-THE HANDMAID OF HOPE/HOPE FOR THE WORST BACKSLIDERS/THE HOPE OF FUTURE BLISS/HOPE, YET NO HOPE.
