The title selection in this book of short stories, Serial Sins of Siberia, concerns Russia; as does a second, Cold War Comrades: Greene and Philby. But the other five stories do not. And they differ in length, subject matter, genre, and theme. The only thing that binds them together is that they are not boring. Each is memorable and unique in its own way. And though it may seem as if they are non-fiction, given the first-person point of the narrative for some, they are not. They take the reader from the streets of Los Angeles to the work camps of Siberia, from the notes of a CIA operative to the musing of a retiring attorney. They describe a joyful, complex, ever-changing relationships between a renown writer and a British spy, a lawyer and a porn star; the inner thoughts an avid skier, as well as the whimsical wording of a sale ad for law books; a woman confides in the reader a family secret, and you'll learn of a place where you can be either married and divorced, though not both on your same visit. Each piece showcases different views of life, and differences in individuals. Enjoy!
