September songs: Poems 2017 - 2022

This is a book of poems on many miscellaneous subjects that came to my, or Chris's, notice over the five years from 2017 to 2022. Many of the poems have been through considerable revisions and most of these poems first appeared on the websites: 'Medium' and 'Write Out Loud'. The owners and managers of these websites deserve my sincere thanks. I also wish to thank my daughter Geraldine for all her help; errors are solely down to me. I wish to particularly thank my best friend of nearly 60 years, Chris Proudfoot who encouraged me to write and to publish my writing. My friend took his own life on the 24th May 2022.. This book is dedicated to my memories of Chris. It is my sincerest hope that my readers can glean some pleasure from reading these poems. I wish to thank my family for their patience as I spent long hours at my desk. But, most of all, I thank you dear reader for reading my work. Thank you.
