This book should convince any small business owner of the importance of seminars to their bottom lin

I loved this book. The title told me what to expect before I read it. And it was well outlined and well-written. It includes a seminar planning master checklist, and the following 10 chapters: 1. Using Seminars to Prospect for Business 2. Setting Your Seminar Objectives 3. The Logistics of Your Seminar: Details, Details, Details 4. Marketing: Spreading theWord 5. Sharing the Risks: Sponsorships and Partnerships 6. Bring on the Pros: Using a Guest Speaker 7. Powerful Presentations 8. Working the Room 9. Evaluation and Follow-Up 10. Conclusion This books tells us why a small business owner should not ignore the important business development potential seminars can offer. It will help CPAs, financial planners, attorneys, small business experts, marketing experts, life coaches, dog trainers, graphic artists, authors, etc. This book is more a meeting planner guide than a how-to create and present seminar content. But the book does include Chapter 7 which does a pretty good wham-bam-thank-you-mam job of the ins-and-outs of writing and delivering the content for a seminar. The author is a marketing director for a consulting firm that helps professionals and small businesses generate new business through prospecting seminars, trade and consumer shows, and business networking events. Apparently she has been in this line of work for sometime, and this book is a write-up of what she does for a living. 5 stars!
