Semete (the yellow duckbilled dinosaur) and her friend Daddy Ciwei go blackberry picking. On their way, they also pick some apples and meet Laoye and other friends. This book is bilingual English-Chinese and the two languages complement each other rather than simply serving up a translation. In this way, the child is encouraged to learn both languages in order to fully appreciate the story. The story itself is based on the seasonal activities of late summer and autumn, and it emphasises the benefits of helping each other.
