Semantic Job Search: Designing and Developing an Optimized Ontology

Semantic search has become the next level searching concept for promoting web searching. Semantic web based search promotes semantic-based (meaning) search and gives exact match. In the proposed research a Job Search Ontology is developed for Effective Job Searching in the domain of IT. Prot g editor is used for Ontology development and the entire hierarchical view is prepared using the GraphViz Plugin supporting Prot g . Various classes of Employees and Job provider companies are created and SPARQL Queries are fired to get the result out of these queries. Here multiple Ontologies(Domain) are combined together and have executed a single SPARQL Query on it yielding to the best search output. A PHP interface is created to accept the input data from the OWL file and executed the same query to get the required output to provide match between Job Seekers (Applicants) and Job Providers (Companies) using Apache Jena Fuseki Server to expose the triples as SPARQL end-points accessible over HTTP.
