Teeny book but packs lots of information

Although this is a small book, it covers all the basics for selling your home. I especially appreciated the questions the author suggests you ask yourself before you put the home on the market. If you facing foreclosure, "talk with your lender" (p4) and you may find a solution. If you are in a hurry to sell, "In most neighborhoods, a house with a lower price will sell faster" (p 5) than one with a very high price. Before you put your house on the market, you should clean and repair your home. Curb appeal is important, so be sure the entry is welcoming and attractive. Staging your home is very popular, and can result in a faster sale. Painting everything inside and out is a good idea. Financing is another issue discussed. There are various ways to make it more likely to sell. For example, if you don't need to get all your money out "perhaps you can offer to take back part of your equity in the form of a second--or even third--mortgage" (p 85).
