Sharon M. Harper wears many hats and goes by many names, but her favorite nickname was given to her by her mother, the late Helen J. McPherson. In the Summer of 1996, Sharon was the director of the Summer Camp at church and her mother came out to volunteer one day. She began to call her "Ms. Shern", as all the others. However, the nickname stuck and from that day forward, she continued to affectionately call her daughter "Ms. Shern", proclaiming "She has gained my respect, and I am very proud of my baby girl!" This book allows us to peek at how Sharon has changed the entire trajectory of her health and her life. Sharon states in her book "The mountains of life are a challenge, but it is the climb that is the journey. The valley moments on my journey were some of the darkest times in my life.
