This book tells a true story of a self-made student, who lived a miserable childhood in a remote village deprived of all educational institutions, a true story that the author lived personally. He did not continue his studies regularly until he reached the university level. At first, he learned the principles of reading, writing, and memorizing the Quran in al-Katatib (Islamic traditional school). Then, he continued his studies through free education and later on by correspondence until he successfully obtained his baccalaureate degree which eventually allowed him to enter the university as a regular student. He went through serious difficult financial conditions that urged him to work at a young age as a primary school (unproven/non -tenured) teacher. His uncontrollable desire for studying made of him a seeker of knowledge; he tried to catch up with the regular students by collecting loads of lessons and doing hundreds of exercises. Despite all of that, he eventually obtained the university degrees that he had always dreamt of: master and PhD degrees. What is meant to communicate here is not the mere narration of the personal life or the biography of the author, but rather to prove that the will and the love of learning are the main reasons behind success. The love of knowledge helps people persist through challenges and overcome all the odds and obstacles.
