It is further inspired not only by life's teachable moments but also by the many times one's mind wanders on thoughts of "What Ifs" and "Have Beens". The author noted: "Many years ago, I came to realize that, yesterday is a cancelled check, tomorrow is a promissory note and today you need the funds to pay". In addition, "Today becomes my yesterday and at some point today was my future, however at the end of the day, that is all that counts, what happens today.

As a singer, Lurine felt that she couldn't write poetry without singing and couldn't sing without writing, as they both envelope each other. So here in lies a compilation of thoughts, events, knowledge, inputs and outputs to bring "Self Actualization, A New Beginning" to light.
