Many people know the historic Jesus. The one who healed the sick, raised the dead and taught long ago truths and precepts that are quoted today by believers and non-believers alike. Many are ready to accept the great sacrifice of Jesus for them. He is their Savior. They cry out to be freed from their sins and transgressions without much thought of the great price it cost him and his father.Many are ready to accept that Jesus can be their friend. They call on him and share their innermost thoughts. They are requesting from him special consideration and answers to their prayers. There are a few that accept Jesus as their King. They have discovered that the resurrected Savior has ascended to Heaven and is seated on God's right hand. As their King, he has the authority to direct their lives and determine how and why they live.Jesus, as a historic figure, is real. Jesus, as the Savior of all that call on him, is real. Jesus, as the friend who hears us pray and answers, is real. Yet, only a few who are Seeking Jesus in all of his fullness every discover the Jesus who lives and rules as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
