seedfall: a journal of poetry + prose + visual art

This inaugural edition of seedfall, new from Tulipwood Books, showcases work from eighteen celebrated authors and artists, all on the theme "atmosphere"-the invisible force that makes life possible on our planet. This is a literary anthology for a general audience, reaching out to many different kinds of readers. Here is the hope of atmospheric phenomena, celestial objects, space travel, inevitable mortality, new relationship energy; of how to work with your hands, how to stand solid and true, to discover and rediscover and embrace the self, to care for family, to connect through art and language, connect to the spiritual; how to grieve and grieve and bring the grief out into the open, to question, to allow the wind in, to live on the same planet as the octopus, to bathe in the knowledge that our species is temporary-that our own lives are fragile and finite-and that it makes us extraordinary.

In these seventy-four pages, find poetry, lyric essay, fiction, photography, and comix by our contributors: Abby E. Murray, AJ Dent, Alli Parrett, Ambalila Hemsell, Carrie Redway, Christina Ana Montilla, Courtney Bambrick, Deborah Bacharach, Erin Armstrong, Harper Walton, Jude Wineke, K Janeschek, Lydia McDermott, Marissa Bea, Michelle Herman, Mikun Oluwayemi, Shanda Connolly, and Vivian Li. Thank you for taking the time to engage with these voices.
