The Gospel. What is it? If asked, how would you answer? We think we know, but do we? Really? Ask your priest or minister. You may get a pre-programmed answer. One developed and refined over many centuries. Generally, the responses are based on interpretations and opinions that originated hundreds of years ago. Oh yes, tradition. They are supported by tradition. What makes tradition so powerful as a support mechanism? Should the thought and opinions of some unknown men (and women?) made in a culture so distant from ours today really carry such weight on our thought today? Has there been such little growth in our thinking that we should blindly accept tradition?

This tome attempts to take a new look at the gospel. It may or may not be correct in its conclusions, but it is an attempt to derive a view that quite clearly may have been hidden or forgotten during past centuries. It was always there but, just maybe, unseen.
