It's 1520 AD and the Inquisition is on thehunt for Jews hiding in Spain while the Guardiantry to save them.The year is 1520AD or so and Isabella Ordez's fatherleaves to fight off the Ottomans who are trying to take theBalearic Islands. While he is gone Isabella falls in love withthe new neighbor's son, Judas Holeburn. Soon both of theirfamilies know that the two are in love. The only problem is thatIsabella has decided to be a Jew like her most family is but tolive in Spain she must pretend to be a Christian. This makestheir love dangerous since a Jew can't marry a Christian. AJews also can't pretend to be a Christian or else they face thechance of being burned at the stake by the Inquisition. Isabellatells Judas she's a Jew in hiding but he doesn't care."Love conquers all" he says. Soon though the Inquisitionmoves into the town and begins to hunt down hiding Jews asanother group called the Guardian tries to save the Jews.Isabella fears she may lose everyone that she loves; even herJudas.
