Food for every musical venue

My father is a retired professional musician of some 60 years. I found Farago's book amazing. It has important tips for persons interested in ANY KIND of musical career. The writing is simple and enthusiastic, augmented by photos and visual aids. The list of contacts and radio stations is nearly exhaustive. This is obviously the work of a lifetime; an important musical legacy. My library bought two copies, I recommend it wholeheartedly.

very highly recommend this book for songwriters and singers who wish to enter the business

This is a very well written, well organized book with a mountain of information that is presented in an easy to understand, step by step manner. The author has many years experience in all aspects of the music industry so he knows first hand of what he writes and can save someone trying to enter the business from making time consuming and expensive mistakes. I had the good fortune to attend one of his music industry seminars and I can attest to the fact that he truly does have a very generous and helpful nature. One part of his book that I especially appreciated was the chapter on how to avoid music industry scams. The author also happens to be a minister which might in part explain why you will feel inspired by his honest, realistic and encouraging approach. THE BOOK IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY. I highly recommend this book.
