Historical Romance

Secrets of the Revolution by Megan Soja is the second book in her Harbor Spies series. Hannah Pierce is trying to protect her aging father from losing the family business. William Abbott is trying to protect his fellow citizens. Together they join the Patriots to accomplish their goals. Secrets, spies, romance what else could you want from a book? The story of Boston during the Revolution is a powerful story. One of hope, courage and ultimate triumph! There were so many heroes that helped form our great nation. The author was able to give us a small glimpse of the turbulent time. I received this book from Celebrate-Lit for my honest review.

Faith, Family, History, & Romance

This is book two in the Harbor of Spies series and it is just as engaging as the first one. I love how this author takes historical details and crafts an interesting story that weaves fact with fiction that you don’t want to put down. I was looking forward to reading Will’s story as he is a character you want to know more of as I admire his dedication and devotion to the people he loves and how he stands up for his beliefs. Hannah is a strong young lady who takes the responsibility of caring for her father and protecting his apothecary seriously while also standing up for her beliefs. As their paths cross in an unlikely way and they serve the Patriotic cause we will be swept away into history and learn aspects that we never learned about the American Revolution. From the beautiful cover to the last page be prepared to be immersed into 1774 and how the colonists stood up to being controlled. With faith , family, dedication, and love this is a story you will be glad to add to your TBR pile. I look forward to reading Libby’s story.
