Not His Best in the Series

I've read all in the Jake Cashen series and enjoyed them, but this one was just not quite up to par. It was good, but it just seemed to drag on and on with a lot of superfluous dialogue and unnecessary interactions. I just really came close to giving up on this one. I must confess, I agree with another reader about Jake's temper. I realize that is part of his character and has been throughout the series, but the balling his fists up in rage is an all the time occurrence and is getting a little old. I will read the next one in the series because it has been a good series overall.
