At eighty-eight years old and with only a high school education, Bobbie Ledgerwood has accomplished her lifetime dream of becoming a bona-fide author. After years of jotting down her thoughts and experiences in diaries, journals, letters, and on the backs of any piece of paper she could find from the time she was ten, Bobbie decided at eighty years old to learn how to use a computer and to write her memoirs. Secrets of a Cambridge Graduate is her story of life in rural southeast Kansas and Colorado from 1924 through 2011. Her family of ten survived and thrived during the Great Depression by working together, crying together, and singing and laughing a lot. Her dad was rough; her mom was tough.The "secrets" are not actual secrets. They are experiences, thoughts, occasions, and incidents during her lifetime that her children and others might not have known or understood about her. By sharing her stories, she hopes to inspire and encourage others to write their own stories and share them with those they love.
