Nobody celebrates February 20th.
The invitation comes in a matte black envelope with a blood-red wax seal, addressed in elegant gold: a weekend at Meadow Lake, with her fellow Spartans, to celebrate an anniversary.
Riley Ellis has spent ten years building a life on top of that night - the law career, the polished apartment, the practiced smile. So have the other six. They scattered after college and stopped answering each other's calls, because distance was the only promise they all kept.
But someone knows. And refusing the invitation would be a confession.
So they come back to the cabin on Meadow Lake. They pour drinks. They tell the old stories - the safe ones. And when the snowstorm buries the roads and the lights of town disappear, seven old friends are alone with the one story they never tell.
Someone brought them here to finish it.
