Michael broke the silence as he closed the dishwasher and pushed the start button."Would you be interested in watching a movie tonight? You don't need to hide out in your room every evening. You've been here over a week and I barely know you're here. You're supposed to be making yourself at home. I'll even let you choose the movie as long as you don't pick some tear-jerking chick flick."Megan was thankful she was wiping off the table that she used for support. A date, her heart screamed. Not a date, her common sense replied. Okay, his invitation was technically a casual evening in a shared home, which didn't diminish the warm glow radiating inside her or the bubbling excitement flowing through her veins."How exactly is it my choice if you're putting restrictions on the list?" She teased the gorgeous hunk of a man leaning backward against the kitchen counter with his arms spread to his sides and his hands gripping the edge of the counter top, looking oh so inviting."I just added a little restriction." He indicated a small amount with his index finger and thumb. Megan answered with her hands spread about two feet apart. He chuckled and grinned with a devilish gleam in his eyes."Okay, you can choose whatever you want. If I fall asleep from boredom, promise you'll wake me when the movie's over."Megan walked to the sink, extremely close to where he stood, as she rinsed and placed the dishcloth over the faucet."Since you're helping with the dishes, we'll choose together. How's that for a compromise?""A compromise sounds fair to me. You pull up the list on the T.V. and I'll get the drinks. I'm having a beer. What's your preference?"'You', the first word that popped into her mind, but she tucked her lips under her teeth to hold in her answer."Tea's fine." She chuckled her answer, thankful; she had caught herself in time. She hurried out of the kitchen to the living room. She found the movie list and flipped to action films. Tonight, a shoot'em-up, blow'em-up kind of night since she eliminated any movie with kissing, sexual content, or nudity. After all, a girl could only stand so much stimulation and Michael was more than she could handle.
