You gotta have it!

This is an indispensable guide, especially for the beginning secondary librarian, or one who is moving up from the elementary school or public library work. The book breaks down the varied roles of the high school librarian, chapter by chapter: 1. Your Facility Surivial Guide. 2. Your Program Survival guide. 3. How to survive: Working in the Educational Community 4. Your role as a manager. 5. Your role as a teacher. 6. Surviving over the years: Professional vigor vs. Professional fatigue. 7. Beyond survival: Your library and school reform. Each chapter is full of examples, outlines, form letters, lesson plans,bibliographies, etc. I only wish that a revised edition would be published which would bring all the resources up to date, and that the forms would be on a diskette in template form for ease of use. Highly recommended.
