What is Poetry to me?

The words forged within the fires of my heart, and in my mind upon an anvil of thought. To produce a beautiful art form harmoniously between the mind, heart, and soul.

One of the opening thoughts in my book "Seasons of the Soul". A collection of poetry written over the past three years of my life. As an individual suffering from depression, poetry was the one true way for me to cope. By expressing my emotions on paper I was able to make it through the toughest of times. Each holding a special place in my life, and after receiving positive feedback I decided these poems may help others who struggle with depression. Not only that, but perhaps help others see what it can be like for those who do suffer from it. My goal is to bring awareness to this very real danger that many people in the world face.

Though directed toward helping people, it isn't only for those individuals. I believe this will meet anyones expectations. Containing various types of poetry, you're bound to find at least one poem you'll love.
