A native of Vietnam, Anh Tran-Schroeder grew up in Saigon and has known war all her young life. At the end of April 1975, she followed the flow of refugees, and came to the United States where she now makes her home in three states with her American husband. For twenty years she practiced Pediatrics in Hawaii.Anh Schroeder strives to be a messenger for people of all walks of life who could not or would not talk about their feelings, dreams and hopes. Like a nice painting or a harmonious song that brings joy to our artistic sense, the Seasons of Life poems resonate with our deep sense of beauty and humanity, touching on the splendor of nature, the many faces of love, the sufferings of war, and the challenges faced by children in an imperfect world. Anh seems to immerse us in the world of the common people, to make us feel what they feel as if we were a part of their universe. Poetry truly makes the road to people's heart easier. Her unimaginable 220 poems amply speak to our core of compassion and sensitivity in a melodic and unadorned way. As a bonus, her trilingual poem essays will delight those of us who can enjoy English, French and Vietnamese.
