A practical book for making good second starters in prayer, morality, choice of church, and questions of religious content, Searching for God is more concerned with choosing a good church than it is in finding the one, true church. It presents prayer as the beginning of contact with God and love as the foundation of morality.
Dr. Gross was my Comparative Religion professor at Western Michigan University in 1990 or 1991. I have to say, even though I was a Business major and I took the class as an elective, it was my absolute favorite class of my entire college career. I learned so much, I learned how to be more accepting of non-Christians BUT I also grew in my own Christian beliefs. We studied his book "Searching for God" during the class. This man had an amazing life story, and has created probably one of the best religion-based books I've ever read. I still have my copy from the early 90's. It's one of only about 3 "textbooks" I have kept over the last 18 years.
