Searching For Bliss

I primarily write fictional material, as the select few people who have read my work will attest.Technically, they would be correct, however, 79.8% of what I write is factual, having confirmed this myself. More to the point, I know several so-called non-fiction authors who have confessed to me that only 75% to 80% of what they have written is based on fact. So where's the line? It all depends on the resources available during compilation. There is also the perceived reality of the subject matter as it pertains to marketing, high on the list of my publishers' qualifications for printing and distribution, as it turns out.It has been explained to me, in excruciating detail, that if I want my work to be read, this prerequisite is necessary for their continued support, not to mention revenue.To that end, I have recently insisted I be introduced as a philosophic writer of fiction.Don't get me wrong. As a fictional novelist I'm given space to be creative, however, I believe that any respect as a writer of such material I may receive is unjustified, since writing fiction is rather esoteric.This claim as a theorist allows me the additional luxury and rationalization required, with the intention that my writing need not be entirely understandable. After all, philosophy doesn't require a definitive answer, only an authoritative question.My strategy may backfire on me with the introduction of this story, since it is absolutely authentic and genuine, at least to the extent that any retelling of memory is accurate. I would give this a ninety-seven to ninety-nine percentile on the truth scale.
