Every sailor and Marine can relate a number of sea stories. They probably started with Neptune and continue to today's latest boot. Even Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz was known to spin a yarn or two and some of his included the Seabees. Seabees have long been associated with the philosophy that the difficult they do immediately and the impossible takes a little longer. While Seabee sea stories are frequently unbelievable one can rest assured that there is a glimmer of truth in there - somewhere! This collection of sea stories is in many ways the same as any others. Some are first person accounts while others are repeated - and probably unashamedly embellished - tales from other sources. Most of these folks being longtime friends. In any case they all are part of our Seabee heritage and worth repeating. Hopefully they will inspire other Seabees to add to our collection with bigger, better and even bawdier Seabee sea stories.
