While the President of the United States thinks he has settled the North Korean crisis, a new front is opening up in the China Sea. Beijing chooses this moment to advance its pawns and claim the entire Spratly archipelago, raising the anger and disbelief of its neighbors. Between Beijing and Washington, a crisis that has been simmering for years is coming to light. Trade sanctions are no longer enough. Naval forces face each other and the slightest mistake can lead to a conflagration. But what is Beijing really looking for in this sea that bears its name?

The USS Jimmy Carter, the latest Seawolf-class unit, will set sail to haunt the waters of the South China Sea and find out what the Chinese Navy is hiding. On the island of Taiwan, operators from Seal Team 6 will investigate the attacks, in cooperation with the CIA. Each on their side, they will bring to light a part of the terrible reality, capable of upsetting the geostrategic balance in Asia. And to draw the Pacific to the edge of the abyss.
