wonderful fun!

I'm not someone who usually reads romance books, but this series by Virginia Kantra is wonderful fun! Anyone who loves Celtic lore will love these books!

Sea Lord

Ms. Kantra has come through again with the third installment of her Children of the Sea series. Our hero, Selkie Prince Conn ap Llyr denies his sensual nature to rule on Sanctuary, but is drawn to World's end, an aptly named island off the coast of Maine. He's searching for two missing Selkies, and comes across the woman seen earlier in a vision. Schoolteacher Lucy is content with her quiet life until Conn walks into her life. She had no idea her mother was Selkie. He does, and he vows to never let her go. As a demon threat grows, our hero, heroine, and their extended family learn to work together to save their people. Again, this is book three but Ms. Kantra gives enough back-story to make a new reader understand what's going on. I recommend all three in the series for hours of great reading!

Can Lucy convince him that he is wrong before his attitude drives her away and the future of all the children of Sea forever? Sea Lord is the third Children of the Sea novel by Virginia Kantra. I particularly loved this one and you do not have to read the others in the series to understand this novel - it is a true stand alone. Conn has a hardened tough exterior which reminds of the coolness of the ocean - seems cold to the touch but inside it is teaming with life. Lucy is very much the sunlight to Conn's coolness. She never realized her entire family has had superpowers that she came from a line of Children from the Sea. She has no clue about this Great War. She is completely taken by surprise by Conn. His sex appeal has her enamored, but his heart keeps her around as she sees the man within the Prince. When you want love, action, adventure and mystery you want to read Sea Lord!

Enchanting

This is a very entertaining series. It reminded me a bit of Gena Showalter's Atlantis series. I hope that that this was not the final book and there will be more in this imaginitive Children of the Sea series. It is nice to see strong women heroines...

Sea Lord Rules!

Virginia Kantra gets better and better! In the third installment of her "Children of the Sea" saga, Kantra ups the suspense, the sensuality and the sheer emotional impact to levels only a master story teller can sustain. The characters are well drawn and believable (even the mythical ones-no small feat), the drama tight and fast-paced, and the romance heartfelt and satisfying. And Kantra's writing is simply lovely-crisp and delightfully evocative. Sea Witch and Sea Fever were great reads, and Sea Lord surpasses them both. Read Sea Lord. You won't be disappointed.
