In early 1941 the German Kriegsmarine raiders, Scharnhorst & Gneisenau continue to elude the British Royal Navy; sinking and capturing dozens of desperately needed supply ships. The British Admiralty devise an audaciously clever trap to hunt these voracious predators down and be done with them. Prime Minister Winston Churchill has demanded that these two "Ugly Sisters" be sunk before their horrific toll on British shipping brings England to the brink of disaster.
