very informative

This book was written by a noted expert on ancient civilizations and the sections on ancient sculpture are very informative. But he shows he knows a lot about modern sculpture too because there is also plenty of stuff on the Renaisance and modern scuptors and their works, including abstract art and large scale sculptures like the statue if liberty and Vietnam war memorial. There are plenty of examples given of the different styles of sculpture that developed through the ages.
