Scrolling: Meme Life

A short story and a play exploring the modern phenomena of social media algorithms, and the doom SCROLLING that has become part of everyday life. A group of strangers gather in a coffeeshop, all on their phones, all engaged in being distracted and disengagined from their immediate enviroment. Their search algorithms become interlocked, but one of them is a malign influence on the their scrolling timeline, one of them has hate and harm in their heart, one of them plans murder. How long will it take to infect the whole or can they resist the urge to hate. A crime is approaching can they circumvent the harm, or is it inevitable
