In the gritty chaos of the 1990s, Lynn - a hardened forty-year-old drunken criminal - and Kenny, her nineteen-year-old partner in crime and chosen "brother" - hit the road in a stolen car bound for Texas. Their plan: cash in on an illegal cigarette deal. Their reality: a road trip unraveling into pure bedlam. Joined by a wandering stranger named Gerrette, the trio lurches from breakdowns to botched robberies, until a truck stop showdown with cops threatens to end it all.
What saves them isn't luck, but performance. Lynn loudly spins a story about Kenny's brain injury and obsession with trucks, cueing him to deliver the act of his life - limping, twisting, mimicking Rain Man, and babbling about trucks climbing mountains. Against all odds, the cops buy it, pity them, and even give them a ride out of town.
Equal parts raw and ridiculous, this is a comedy of survival and misadventure - a tale of two misfit criminals who stumble through disaster, trick authority with sheer audacity, and return home with nothing but another outrageous story to tell.
