Excellent read for more indepth knowledge of SCO OpenServer.

This book details a lot of the inner workings of SCO's OpenServer release 5. It describes in plenty of detail, the why and how's to SCO's OpenServer product. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in SCO OpenServer.

An In-Depth Look.

Few computer books offer what they promise; SCO Companion does this and much more, delving into areas of the Unix OS that most other books don't even touch upon. From how Unix works, to why, and everything in-between, this is one of those rare finds in the technical-book world; one you will enjoy reading just for the enjoyment of it.

Turns SCO system administration into a pleasant experience

Mr. Mohr - I originally got your book 2 years ago when I was thrown into a SCO admin position. This book has made my experience w/ SCO not only pleasant but rewarding at the same time. If there is a more thorough, better written text on the market I know not of it.

Best ALL-IN-ONE Desk reference on SCO Unix I ever read.

As a systems analyst and administrator of a multi platform environment (AIX, SCO, NT, NOVELL) I am constantly on the look for complete references for the different platforms to aid not only myself but my department... for SCO this is the best I've seen.

Great book for the administrators

Not only explains how-to make the administration stuff, it also explain what files are changed and how that files affect the OS...Great for all who wish to know how the SCO Os makes interaction with the configuration files...
