"The sun sets behind pink cumulus clouds. Stout terracotta homes cover the fertile green hills of the Amalfi Coast as far as the eye can see. We drive along a winding mountain road as dark waves crash into the cliffs below. Where we are going we don't know for sure. We only know that we must not stop. I sit at the wheel and she sits next to me. We drive in silence. I lower the top down and my girl whips out round Ray-Bans with exaggerated glamor, doing her best Sloane Peterson in an effort to lighten the mood. As the next song begins, she closes her big brown eyes and leans into me. I can feel the rhythm of her heartbeat and the depth of her breathing. She is almost content. As the music begins to play, I take a deep breath, preparing myself for what lies ahead. ' Hey Jenny Jenny who can I turn to? You give me something I can hold on to.' As we continue down the road to the familiar thrum of Tommy Tutone's '867-5309/Jenny,' I look in the rearview mirror. Several miles behind us, thick cumulonimbus clouds are gathering, blotting out the sun. I turn to my girl and catch a frown slipping over her face before she remembers to cover it up. As we look towards the sky, each of us wonders if our time is up. If this is the day the storm will catch us. The day we'll finally be caught in the rain. But as she turns up our song, the lyrics overwhelm our worries until they fade to nothing at all. And everything is bright again. And my girl picks her head up off my arm as we laugh, dance, and scream to the music, losing ourselves in the bass. ' And Jenny, Jenny, you're the girl for me Oh, you don't know me, but you make me so happy .' No matter how hard we try, we'll never get this moment back. But we're moving too fast to feel it all slipping away, our voices and worries swept away by the wind. Behind us, the storm approaches."
