Schoolgirl Gangster

A suitcase full of mob cash transforms a victimized AP student into a successful entrepreneur, overcoming high school challenges, family drama, and the dangers of organized crime.

Schoolgirl Gangster, is a fast-paced, character-rich teen comedy, in the style of Little Miss Sunshine and Juno. The script won top festival awards on five separate occasions. Set amidst the dramatic turmoil of adolescence, this coming-of-age story blends comedy drama with the high-stakes world of organized crime.

Synopsis:
Margie Hancock and her side-kick Greta Stein are two teenagers who juggle between selling Girl Scout cookies and school dislikes typical of their age. Margie is incredibly passionate about fashion. She aspires to attend the school of her dreams. The endless stream of vulgar name-based jokes leaves her yearning to shed her old identity and embrace the name Cheyenne Dawson. Greta is a foreign exchange student of African/German descent. She is Margie's trusted friend, a sort of step-sister, with whom Margie shares secrets and the cumbersome presence of the eccentric mother Delores.

Their life flows under the banner of classwork and bad taste pranks. But one day, trying to escape and hide from the umpteenth pursuit of bullies Amber and Brett, the two girls discover a suitcase full of money buried in a cornfield. Shock. Panic. Doubts. Call the police? Take the money and run? But above all ... whose money is this?

The adventure will be unlike anything the two schoolgirls could have ever imagined. It will jeopardize not only their safety but also their friends Maya and Wilbur hired to protect them from any kind of threat ... including criminals A comedy in thriller sauce filled with challenges, danger, and ironic conclusions.

Character Set-Up:

● MARGIE HANCOCK, is a gifted AP student who aspires to redefine herself as Cheyanne Dawson and become a Hollywood fashion designer. She possesses an intrinsic cleverness and shrewdly calculates her options. Somewhat tough exterior, but below the surface lies her inhibition of sexual expression created by her gender oppressive, misogynistic father. Looked upon as the leader within her trio of friends. Outside that group, she's vulnerable and fair game, caused by her defiance of not fawning to peer pressure.

● GRETA STEIN possesses a sharp analytical mind and addiction to worldly knowledge. Her mob-connected Uncle Otto raised her in a private, academic environment until being adopted at age twelve, when she became Margie's sororal sister. Because of her secluded upbringing, Greta lacks street smarts and obsesses on fitting in with popular high school peer groups, contrary to Marie's advice.

● DELORES HANCOCK, 38, mother and Avon Lady, radiates with warmth and nostalgia. Delores is out of touch with the modern day high school perils. She's oblivious to what Margie endures with the Hancock surname. Delores lives in denial regarding her husband, accountant Norman Hancock, and his disappearance connected to Uncle Otto.

● BRETT WOODFORD & AMBER MARCS, are a pseudo-relationship couple, but revered as high school "a-listers." They are the lead antagonists, and Margie's foes. Products of dysfunctional families, they turn to bullying as a coping mechanism. When they hear rumors of Margie's windfall, they hatch a scheme to steal the money.
