A look at all aspects that make up a successful school

There are many types of individuals and organizations that could gain tremendously from the wisdom contained in School Renewal. Although its main focus is on educators, administrators and parents in schools (with a particular focus on Waldorf education), the lessons it contains apply to anyone who works in an organization that they feel passionate about. The challenge it describes of balancing passion for one's job with acceptance of one's limits is appropriate in many settings. There are many gems hidden in School Renewal, such as the challenges and pitfalls of governing by consensus, the ways to recognize the symptoms of burnout in yourself and others and how to truly work toward the greater good. School Renewal is a wonderful read for anyone working in an organization with passionate people. If you happen to be a parent, administrator or teacher in a Waldorf School, then this is a must read.
