This book aims to shed light on the importance of training headmasters or managers of municipal schools. It has been problematised that training in Educational Management or School Management is of the utmost importance if they are to make real use of their work. It was hypothesised that these professionals do not have specific training for the position they hold and that they do not put Participatory Management into practice. The aim was therefore to find out the profile of these managers, their academic background, the type of management they use and the perception of teachers and students in relation to their administration. To this end, a descriptive qualitative-quantitative study was carried out, in which 14 headteachers from the 14 urban municipal primary schools in the city of Caldas Novas/GO were interviewed. In addition, a questionnaire was administered to 140 teachers and 140 students in order to find out their perception of the current management. It can be concluded from this research that there is a deficit in the training of these headmasters, as well as a lack of participation by the school community in their management.
